Sin

“All have sinned and come short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23. Definition of sin…any action or thought that does not bring 100% glory to God. We must never seek glory ourselves and never glorify any sin.

  • Pride glorifies (serves) self.
  • Sloth glorifies (serves) laziness.
  • Gluttony glorifies (serves) overeating.
  • Lust glorifies (serves) illicit sex.
  • Greed glorifies (serves)materialism and mammon.
  • Envy glorifies (serves) selfishness.
  • Selfish unrighteous anger glorifies (serves) self.

Glorifying God entails keeping his commandments, out of true faith and love and seeking his glory alone.
