Why do these little droplets not just collapse and flow away. How can the pond-skater walk on water? The answer is surface tension or the bonds between the water molecules on the surface of the droplet and the pond.
These bonds keep the water surface molecules tight together. They are an illustration of something true of all matter in the universe. We read of this in Scripture namely in Hebrews 1:3 and Colossians 1:17. Christ upholds all things and in him all things “hold together” or consist. So God holds these droplets together and keeps the water surface tight by using atomic bonds.
